Russian president Vladimir Putin has been warned of a potential
plot to assassinate him via suicide bomb during his upcoming trip to Iran. Russian security services said that that the reports had a
"fairly high level of reliability." A member of
Iran's Foreign Ministry said in typical Iranian international speak: "Reports published by some media are totally baseless and are in line with the psychological war launched by enemies who want to harm Iran and Russia's relationship." Despite the plot, Putin says of "

Putin will be the first Russian president to visit Iran since Stalin in 1943. The main goal of the trip will be
to discuss Iran's nuclear plans.
This is not the first reported assassination attempt planned against Vladimir Putin.
Ukrainian security forces claimed to foil an attempt to assassinate President Putin in Yalta. And in 2003, police arrested two men in another plot to assassinate President Putin in London. Pravda has listed seven total assassination plans on President Putin. Other Articles:
