Checking the web logs at Russophile.com, I noticed that some people who attempt
to register for the forums abandon the process. Therefore, I decided to write this short guide to help you
register. You must register to comment on the blogs section, add or vote on a photo, or start a thread in the other forum sections.
First, click on
the registration link. Check the box next to the statement that says that you have read and agree to abide by the terms and conditions and then click the "Register" button.
Enter a unique
user name that will display next to your posts and be used for you to log onto the site with. Enter your
case-sensitive password twice. Next, enter a real
e-mail address. The address must exist and you must have access to it to gain full rights to the forum because the website will automatically send you an email to confirm this email address. The email sent to you will come from "WM" <-at-> "Russophile" <-dot-> "com" if you need to search your spam folder or white list the email before registering.
To thwart automated SPAM programs, there are two questions that you must answer to prove that you are human.
NoSpam! verification question: Answer the question. Note that the questions are not designed to be difficult for a person so the answers are
obvious. Secondly, you must enter the
text on the image. If you are having trouble reading th image, click on the "refresh image" link below the image to load a new image.
Under Additional Information, you may leave the
referrer field blank or you may enter the
User Name (exactly as it appears on Russophile.com) of the person who referred you. Set the
Time Zone to your time zone. I recommend that you leave the
DST settings alone and the
email settings as they are. You can leave the two
Google AdSense code fields blank. They are related to some functionality that I have not implemented yet.
Click the button "Complete Registration" and look for the email to arrive at the address that you entered. Click on the link in the email to complete registration.
If you are still having difficulty, see these graphics for reference:
